Check out the sticky on "the real price to turbo". The turbocharger itself was $1500. But then, you have to add piping, flanges, wastegate, bov, injectors, fuel pump(s), tuning, BTM, intercooler... which leads to forged pistons, 4340 rods and crank... which leads to beefed up transmission, 9" rear, tires, etc...
