1993 Trans Am, 475 hp for sale
Well, as much as I hate to do it, it is time to sell my baby. This is a 1993 Trans Am with a brand new 383 engine that downright sounds mean, and turns heads at the stop light. The car is located in Minneapolis, MN. It runs and drives, and looks nice. It is pushing about 475 hp. There are a few small quirks with the car that would be a very easy fix. Here is a list of the things still needed to be done:
-The power steering pump needs to be replaced. It drives just fine, but it is similar to having manual steering
-The driver side window switch needs replacement
-The distributor cap probably needs replacement. It sometimes runs just a little rough.
-The headlights are stuck up at the moment. The motors are just fine. (I think this is just a fuse)
-The brakes should be bled, but they still stop the car just fine.
With these small repairs, this car would be a great daily driver!
Other than those few quirks, the car runs, looks, and drives fine. It is overall a very nice car with a lot of potential fun behind it. Summer is here, and this is the car to celebrate it with!!
I am asking $5900 for the car. I have much more than that into the motor alone. I am getting married, so my loss is your gain. I am open to reasonable offers, but I cannot take any trades because I nned the cash. Thanks for looking, and I look forward to hearing from you.

not to knock the car, becuase it looks like a very nice setup, but 475 horsepower is a big stretch for that setup, esspecially on stock heads and that small 230/236.
very nice setup, but that claim is a little far fetched without some track numbers and dyno numbers

Thanks for the compliment about the nice setup. It is a nice engine that really moves well for a DD. The shop that built the motor said that's what it was pushing around for hp, and I have dyno slips too from when I got the car dyno tuned. They read 350 hp, and 350 tq to the rear wheels. I am not a pro at this, but I do at least have the rear wheel hp documented. I am just estimating crank hp.

I emailed you when i saw it on craigslist, what is the mileage on the actual car, and on the engine. Would this be reliable on the street?
EDIT: oh and did you ever fix your electrical issues?

The mileage on the car is about 133000 miles, and the motor has only about 200 miles on it. This would be reliable on the street if the simple quirks are fixed. My intention was to make this a DD, so reliability is what I wanted more than anything else. I haven't had time to fix the electrical issues because I work 2 jobs, but they shouldn't be difficult at all. I do have 2 repair manuals for the car that go with it, and they both have electrical diagrams in them.

I would rather keep the wheels with the car because the car would be easier to sell, and the buyer would get a much better deal on the car. If the car doesn't sell, then I will sell you the wheels. The stock ones are just so ugly and the car would be much harder to sell.
