1996 Trans Am
***S O L D 7/30/08*** to a fellow board member....Thanks everyone.
I am fairly convinced I want to sell my car. 96 TA hardtop, 2nd owner, 73,1xx miles as of today 7/7.
Possibly 1 of 141 Trans Am coupes in ROM in 1996. Cannot confirm, though. There is definately not many out there, especially a hardtop with these options.
Exterior:
Red-orange (cayenne) metallic, no dents or bodywork, some scratches.
De-badged/de-molded doors
PONTIAC and trans am inserts out back
Interior
Graphite(dark gray) cloth bucket seats, no rips, not much wear in drivers
Factory and Lloyds custom floor mats
Dash/console/headliner, etc. in perfect condition
Drivers carpet shows minimal wear, the rest is perfect.
Kenwood CD head unit w/GM factory 10 speakers.
Engine/Tranny/Rear-end
Original never opened up LT1
Platinum plugs, MSD wires/coil @ 60K
GM waterpump and opti around 62K-pump was leaking from weap hole, opti was changed as a precaution.
Oil changed twice a year w/synthetic and AC filter
Tranny fluid changed w/ mobil 1 atf
Rear end serviced last year with castrol 80/90 and GM posi additve
Pinion seal and yoke were also changed at that time (GM), and has fixed this common f-body problem. (leakage)
Fuel filter, pcv, belt, tensioner, coolant are all recent (within the last 2 years, car is only driven <2000 miles per year)
Mods are all bolt on's--CAI, LT4 KM, muffler w/tips etc.--check my car domain in sig.
Suspension
Bilstein HD's (old valving), stock springs, 32/19mm gm sway bars, poly links, and a factory alignment all within the last year.
It is a very nice car, but it is time for me to upgrade to an LSx car. I have a bunch of random parts, including stock pieces, AC bypass pulley, UMI panhard, and a few other misc. things. Original window sticker included. It was purchased directly from the original female owner, who special ordered it. Her name is on the drivers door sticker! Only known issues are: small oil leak at the front of the motor (oil pan?)and oil level sensor, but will only leave a drop or two on my garage floor while parked. Some weatherstripping on the back window is crumbling. Light surface rust in spots underneath, which can be sandblasted and painted very easily.
Premium (93) gas used, garaged year round, barely sees rain, never snow, but it is driven on dry winter days to keep it fresh. Driven regulary in spring/summer/fall. Car DOES NOT come with speedlines, but the original 16" chrome wheels that will need new tires. Tires have good tread, but are showing age cracks. New price reflects this change...

The last two pictures really show the color contrast of the color. Sunlight really brings out the orange tone to it.
Feel free to ask me anything.
$6000/bro
Thanks, Dan

Thanks for the compliments. Updated price is at the bottom of the first post. 98WsSick I'm suprised you haven't seen me roaming through Dracut, that is where I like to go for a drive. It really is a nice car, I just spent all day in it today, but i want to move on to an LS1 at this point and can't justify having both.

My Photobucket account is acting strange, so I can't upload my newest pictures yet. I found an old one of the interior with the original floor mats and an old shifter handle. Stock handle is back on w/B&M shifter.

NEW price and serviced the coolant, throttle body, pcv valve, checked all coolant/emission hoses for cracks. Seafoam is going in the tank next fill-up and I hope to give it an oil change next weekend, as it is due.
tyler18 What specifics are you looking for? There are lots of details in the first post.
PULSE I will keep this thread up to date, so check back.....
