Anyone wanna trade your C5 for my Modded TA?? Just wat the title says guys...just curious to see if theres any takers out there on an even swap.

doesnt make sense.... It just doesnt make sense man vette owners are just too proud because the 95% of normal people that see someone in a vette automatically thinks the vette guy has more money than the F-body guy...people like us its different. I have a 2001 WS6 with LT's, n most boltons and it came with the LS6 intake, I happened to get a LS6 block too but it doesnt make it any faster with the LS6 block, but I ran a 13.08 @ 109mph with only a SLP lid and mac filter, which was around what the vette that year ran n people still think the vette is all mighty. I'm not gonna lie but I'd rather have a vette than my car but not a un modded C5. But honestly the 98-02 T/A's are going to be worth as much or more than the vettes in 15 years I guarantee that....people should be offering u like crazy but vette owners are stubborn a lot of times because the general population automatically thinks ( wow he has a vette), I've had people ask me why I bought a older joe dirt car!...and im like WTF r u serious my car is in almost perfect condition with only boltons and eats most all C5 vettes, looks awesome and is rare...I heard in 3 years my 01' will bluebook about 20k and the 01' C5 will bluebook 15k...so who knows im hanging on to mine, mine bluebooked 13,750 last year and now the bank told me it bluebooks at 14,375 so its rising for sure...I also have a built tranny by D&D with pro 5.0 shifter n all that shtuff but I dont think any of the mods even take value up....but a C5 owner should trade u with no prob unless they dont like the cam n all that stuff, a lot of people get scared when the motor has been touched......sorry for the monster post brother, but I feel u on this thang

"DonaPOO" and i made a rim swap. his TTMs for my TT2s. My tires were pretty worn down and his were pretty much brand new, or so he said, so i said id throw in an additional set of tires i had got from the previous owner of my car that i had never mounted on the car PLUS 100 cash. he agreed and we met for the trade. during the trade he was looking at the tires i was throwing in and he said they had been mounted. i had never mounted them but sure enough they had indeed been mounted, so i said i was sorry and that i would throw in an additional 50 bucks, HE AGREED and said "Yeh man that will be kool"...so we went through with the trade. I drove almost 6 hours to do this swap mind you.... i get home and i get a call from donapoo, he says "I put my tread depth meter on those tires you threw in and they only have like 50% tread depth left on them man, thats pretty fucked up dude!!" i was like dude, you agreed on the trade, you saw the same tire i did, and we split ways so idk wat to tell you....he would not stop calling me and threatening me with all sorts of BS so i said i would shoot him another 50 bucks to make him shut up and stop botherin me. AND Then on top of all that, he gives me 3 diff tires on the rims, two diff fronts and the same on the rears, which on the rears side walls there are some pretty deep gouges from his car being lowered and his fenders cutting into them.... I think its pretty douchebag how your bitchin about 50 bucks dude and i mean i think i did enough on the deal. ALSO!!!! YOU AGREED ON THE DEAL AND THEN CALLED BACK BITCHIN...IF YOU DOUBTED THE TREAD ON THE TIRE, YOU COULD HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH WITH THE DEAL, BUT YOU DID!!! NOW SHUT THE HELL UP AND GET OUT OF MY THREAD!!

now back to my thread!! Getcha01, you do have a very good point, and after reading what you have to say, i think im gonna be holdin on to my car a lil longer. haha!! : )

No Regrets The C-5 is one incredible car. I suspect that you drove one , and thats why you want one ! Stick to your guns and don't let the the previous comment sway you.

keep on going for that c5. you have a 98 which will pretty much be worthless in a few years. only cars gonna be worth something are the ceta's and the 01-02 last of the breed ws6s

i prefer the corvette over the camaros any day. i would think that that would be the major consensus since noone is willing to trade.
my corvette outperforms every aspect of my camaros in every catagory.
btw. i don't think i'm better than anyone else either. and motivation for buying the vette was definately not having everyone looking up to me.

This is not true sometimes it the first years are worth more money IE 1970-1971 challengers, 1967/9 camaro's, 1969 t/a's, 1968 road runners& super bee's, It all depndes upon what people want when there young and these cars are what our age group wants the 1998-02 camaro's and trans am are what we want as a generation... My friends 1999 camaro ss is the only reason i own a 02 camaro ss because of the memories it hold for me every time i look at it smart money is on the Trans Am's to be worth money 25+years from now... But in not one way do i blame u for wanting a corvette its the American dream so good luck in your search... All im gonna say is not matter what u will miss your T/A no doubt specially when u get your insurance quotes lol
