well, if your dumb enough to take it to the dealer, your dumb and rich enough to not care, there are tons of german specialty shops that do it for cheaper and probably better. seeing is how they will do it more often

My girl used to get charged $500+ every time when she went to the dealer until I met her. The last time they tried to do the bushings and all that crap and I told them no. They wanted to do the fron brakes for $1200. I told them I'll take my chance at them going out I just did the front rotors, pads and wear sensor yesterday. It was a pain but it only cost $150 for all the parts.

My uncle has an SL500. Sweet car. I remember looking under the hood and was all confused as to why there were two spark plugs per cylinder

I wanted one after I saw his, but after finding out how much maintenance was, I said forget it.

I don't think women should walk into a dealership by themselves, unless they are knowledgeable and are not easy to influence.

Don't tell mom she fucked up, that will add insult to injury. Just let her know next time you'll take the car in for her.

I'm a Benz tech and I've seen spark plugs on a V12 (cl600, s600) go for over $1K.
24 plugs at $20 each = $480 and about 3 to 4 hours labor at $143 = $429 - $572.

And they're quite the bitch to do. No wires just one huge spark rail on each bank that holds 12 plugs. You've got to shimmy that thing off without bending any of the pipes that run to the plugs.

I don't know. But I can tell you changing plugs on an LS1 F-body is a walk in the park compared to both the Durango and Ram 1500.
