Default Cal State Northridge or College of the Canyons

Anyone ever go to these 2 schools? How were they? I just applied to Cal state but I am not a resident yet which means a lot of $$. I was thinking about going to the Canyons for a year to get my residence. Canyons is a community college so it would be a lot cheaper. I really hate having to transfer from school here to canyons and then to csun, its a real pain in the *** but I have no choice really. If I get into csun I could be out there as soon as January.

Csun!!! I went to CoC and their teachers just suck, ended up transfering to AVC and getting my AA there. Look up CoC's state grading sheet and they got a A on the campus and D+ on teaching staff.

Look into Cal State Long Beach. They have a very good engineering program. Thats where I got my EE degree. I loved going there. One of my coworkers went to CSUN and he enjoyed it there.

I actually went to Valley before going to CSUN. But i was a TV major at CSUN. Even thought Valley was in an "interesting area", the teachers actually cared about the students. The school was pretty nice too for the area it was in.

I actually went there to play football out of high school....and got to play in a national championship game, and went to 2 bowls and earned 2 rings!! lol

CSUN, was a great school too. you'll really like it!!

GO MONARCHS!! (Class of '98)
&
GO MATADORS!! (Class of '01)

Why would you have to pay out of state tuition at CSUN and not CoC? They are both Cal schools...

Wow there a few of you that live pretty close to me. I live right down the street from CSUN. Great school, never heard anything bad about it. Both my older cousins graduated from there and its where I plan to go.
