It's because of the budget systems; they run database jobs all week and the soonest they can schedule for us to stop, fix and reboot would have to be until the weekend. It's really a political thing. They dont like changes while people are working incase things go wrong. That way we dont put people out of work. Always gotta balace security risks with business functionality. Not my call; managements call.
