Hell No. M/Ts are better in rain (having tread helps with this) but the Hoosiers stick well in light rain. I got caught out and had to drive 30 some miles home in the rain and didnt crash or go spinning wildly off the road at every turn, didnt even loose traction which I cant say about the M/Ts in the rain. Not trying to say the Hoosiers are a good rain tire, hell they have no tread.
I've heard good things about the M&Hs but since they dont make a 26" tire for a 17" wheel they werent on the list. The only reason I even put Hoosiers on my car is because M/T was out of my size tires and the BFGs I put on to get me by lasted all of one month. Yes, one month. Lack of traction kills tire life.

i ran my 275/35/18 bf new tread dr's for a whole year as my DD tire while hitting the track here and there and even drove all the way from famoso bakersfield last year and i use them all the way down to the nylon fiber. so its fair to say they can last u a good 8-10 months depending on how much track use is involved

I heard they are good for Daily driven cars, which I may get for my car, unless there is a better one for a daily driver without getting skinnies.

only reason why people get nittos is because they last the longest out of all drag radials and are the best in the rain. i dont consider them drag radials, to me they are just the stickiest street tire.

Actuall they are a great all around tire...Ive been on mine for a while, they hook way better than any other street tire(best of a 1.7 60ft) and they last pretty long, **** these are the first drag radial ive had on the car and they still have a **** load of tread on em, also they do descent in the rain..

Nope-never had DR's. Been adding power and will do rod bolts and hardened axles BEFORE I go to the track. BUT...I want tires that will let me drive cruising on local roads and stand up to my torque @ the track. Yes-this will be my first set of tires and want to get the best performance I can.

What I'm getting from all this is M/T's are pretty popular on a variety of cars and Nitto's as well. I assume it will vary from car to car. Mustang-Camaro-Corvette-T/A's. I think that I'm going with the new M/T's and as I gain experience with them- I'll post. I've never been to the track w/ my car, but, after I replace the last weak link, the stock axles, I'll be ready to see what my car will run. I really appreciate the input from everyone.

You couldnt ask for more of the Nitto on the street if you are under 500 RWHP and have a gear ratio less than a 4.10. I get some great traction on those tires and they last a long time. But at the track they are just like a regular radial tire it seems like. I see a lot more people get more traction on the MT's than anything else but those hoosier and Toyo DR's seem to be the new thing.

I have seen those tires on a 98 Supra with I believe 600 RWHP pull a 1.5 60 @ irwindale. He said he absolutly loved those Toyo DR's. He said Toyo let him try out all of there new DR tires and those were his favorite (He was sponsered by them). He said they were better than MT's and the Hoosiers but we will have to wait for the feedback to see if all this is true.

i only have experience with the old M/T's and the nittos. with that said, the nittos are a joke compared to the mickey's. i would really like to try the hoosiers though.

they look very similar to the goodyear ss DOT drag radials that failed pretty bad lol if anything they might perform like a upgraded version of nittos
