very good point, i think the schools should all be privatized. then they would have to compete to get students in the doors=quality education. never happen though

my hs had very very good teachers. very qualified, with little patience. when you look around in the classrooms you see 1/3 of the class staring into space the guys thinking about what to smoke when its 2:10 and the slutty girls thinking of who to **** next.

im sure schools in rancho and OC or schools with more AP students would have a better ratio of tards:teachers.

Sadly the reason for poor schooling seems to be the state, as always. My mother in law is a teacher and my wife was about half way to having her teaching credentials when it all started to get ridiculous. We looked at what was happening and she decided to go another route. Kids in my M.I.L's school cant go on field trips, even when it pertains to a subject like going to the aquarium or to an old Spanish mission, oh and art/music? went the way of the do-do a while ago. The way they are running things now they study what is on the state tests, then take the state tests, then study for the next round of testing.
Can someone else post more info pertaining to our schools? I can but barely touch the surface of a sad subject.
EDIT: Im talking about elementary schools by the way.

my aunt is a teacher in NJ and she has 100% attention in class from every student. granted its 4th and 5th grade, but its still a good thing compared to here.. and she is VERY soft hearted. but that shows too that the schools have more $$$$ per classroom.

our school had/has history books from the 70's and 80's still.

honestly, that is the bulk of the problem... I remember reading in a California newspaper a year or two back, that if the state stopped paying all the nice little benefits to illegals the state would be out of debt in under 6 months... hmmmm...

I flipped when I heard about the possibility of not receiving a CA tax refund. ****, that's money I lent them for the year.

Then again, it's not that much, I claim around 9 exemptions.

A neighbor is an elementary school teacher and he wanted to hold back one of his students. The prinicipal told him he couldnt hold the student back and let the next grade teacher worry about it.

i cant agree more with you. im tired of all of these idiots taking advantage of something that was ment for help when you dont have a job and are looking for one. but instead people just try to get all the money they can for free and have no intention on doing anything other than spend the money on drugs and put us more in debt. its pure bull ****. i say we get rid of these ******* one by one. california needs to do something about all of this bull **** cuz its the people that run the state that got us into all of this crap so they should get us out of it, not the working people bail out these *** holes.

You need to do some more research as much I don't like Arnold he is about the best we can get for this socialistic welfare state.

You need put blame where it needs to be.
1. California Legislators these people are POS and proposed tax increases and additional spending every year all of them should be fired.
2. Barbara Boxer and Diana Feinstien these women at best should work at the counter of a Senior citizens lingerie shop. Again big spenders
3. Nancy Peloski This lady leads all the democrat congress and again spends like a drunken *****

The unfortunate thing about Arnold is he had good intentions but then was poisoned by politics and everyone being against him. He has said for many years you can't keep spending more money every year.

California's budget has increased 40 billion in the last 4 years.
1. Our schools still rank #25 out of 50 and we spend the most money. The teacher union has way to many chiefs making money for doing nothing. The teachers union has turned into the auto union but can't be stopped because they always wine it is for they kids
2. Goverment jobs have increased by a large margin
3. More welfare and socialist program

I think we get less then we had 4 years ago and we pay a whole lot more money but you need to put blame where it needs to be and the people of California need to get there had out of there *** and vote these socialist spending libs out.

I fixed that today. I am taking 10 exceptions on CA deductions going forward. If enough people did that it would teach them a lesson. DONT STEAL MY MONEY!

I would have claimed all four of those, but that's not what I named your mom and sister.

I named them Jackey n' the Box and Carley Jr.

I'd claim you too if Tyrone on the corner didn't already claim you.

I agree! It is the legislators who are ******* this state up. Arnold is only responding to the gridlock that they are causing.
