Default Need a new fuel pump!

Anybody have a good fuel pump for a 99 F-body? My fuel sender has been giving false readings and I just ran it dry.

Can anybody help me install it with the access panel mod?

Again... Just now ran out of gas on the freeway cause the sender has been broken and reading gas at full and I was too dumb to fill it back up sooner. Was going to fill up when I got home but I was 5 miles short this time. Sigh.

FYI, the V6 pump is the same as a V8 pump. A same-year or NIB Walbro would be awesome...
The access panel is nice because in the future I won't have to spend "30 minutes" (1.5 hours) dropping the tank again, don't have to really worry about damaging anything, not to mention I don't have an air ratchet or a quality set of tools... This is my DD and I plan to keep it that way for a while. Plus, it's a V6 so it's not like I'm insanely devaluing it.

Alex and I have both done it man. The trap door (aka access panel) method is easy. We did it on Joser's car in less than an hour. I would get a racetronix kit, then when you do your LS1 swap, you'll be ready for the spray!
I think the Racetronix kit is $150.

All Racetronix kits use Walbro pumps.

I have a brand new racetronix kit, still in the box.
I have the pump kit and the wiring harness kit. I also have an OEM pump assy, dont know the history on it, as I was going to mount the Racetronix pump onto this assembly ahead of time, so I didnt have more down time when I switch over my metal tank to my plastic tank in my 94 LS1 project.

I found a '99 fuel pump with only 48k on it for very cheap, still works. Probably going with that unless I can find a Walbro 255lph setup... My current fuel pump still works - but it's definitely on it's way out.

I believe the OEM pump was for a 99, as most of my LS1 stuff I was getting was for a 99. The Racetronix isn't year specific, but it is for LS1.

Ok i am too lazy to search this hatch idea... what is it? do you just cut out part of the trunk to access the top of the fuel tank?

Yep - cut a hole over the fuel pump, cut some spare sheet metal, drill pilot holes, replace pump, then put some RTV between panel and car, bolt down tight.
