you might just want to get a few different car repair estimates without having work done until after your court case. Some people might disagree with me but the judge might think your partially guilty if you pay for the repairs prior to the court date (expecting a reimbursement).
Another note, the person that gets rear ended almost always wins the case. Just keep that in mind and dont be surprise if the other party have a completely different story to tell when they are in court.

damn thats gay...I got hit by a stupid white girl on the driver side fender this one time...bitch was following the car in front of me and didnt see me when she got into my lane. Long story short, she also had no insurance but i took down her info and made the bitch pay up for the repairs, she was scared shitless cuz i threatened to call the cops. Anyway, Good luck man!
