Default Got written up last night...

Alright so I got pulled over for squealing my wheels on a on ramp. Just my luck a CHP was exiting the adjacent off ramp. He wrote me up for some minor things:
  • expired tags
  • no proof of insurance
  • broken tail light

Anyone know how much the fees for these violations are?

do you have current tags in the mail? if you do you can just take the ticket to court and prove that you paid your reg etc and have the judge dismiss or reduce the fine.

the tags, brake light and proof of insurance shouldnt be that bad, its the squeeling the tires that can screw you over. Sometimes they mark it as exhibition of speed and thats no good, what does the ticket say exactly for the infraction?

damn that sux! but SRJ you go pulled over by CHP you can take it to any CHP office to sign off for free! also you can go to court any day before the due date or on the due date to show that you do have insurance and paid tags. the court is like 2 mins away from where you live!

He only wrote me up for the minor violations, not for squealing my tires.

That's so stupid when they check on the computer they can tell if you have insurence or not unless u don't have insurence.

if you take it to a CHP office and get it signed off your all set you don't have to go to court, maybe after its signed off you may have to mail it over to the address below the ticket, i just got one a week ago and thats what the CHP cop told me

chp signs it off for free but you can either mail it in before your court date with an attached check or money order of 10 dollars or appear to court and pay the 10 dollars. either way u pay.

Out of date tags.-$10 with proof of correction

Brocken Tailight-$10 with proof of correction

Insurance.--If you have insurance but didnt have it on you at the time of the ticket..$10-40 Bucks not sure..But the date of the ticket must fall inbetween the insurance period

If you dont have insurance, and the above dosent reflect you

$759...Not fun

My friend just paid a ticket for no tags a couple months back. I can't really remember the total but it shouldn't be more than $200.

the one for no insurance proof IF you had insurance shouldnt cost you anything; it didnt for me. I just showed proof that I had insurance on the date of the violation and they wrote it off.
