I just was stating that I have seen rods (pushrods not connecting rods) on back order especially if you are getting custom length ones, but then again I have no idea what I am talking about. and a lot of what I post is sarcast smart *** humor.

now your saying pushrods are back ordered? dude i can call smith bros or manton pushrods and have fully custom pushrods next day to any length or thickness i want , as far manley,trickflow, comp or any other off the shelf brand pushrods, you can usually get them same day, or following day as well. the reason i have a little issue with you, is your logic, like when you post stuff like "its the customers fault they got screwed over at a shop, because he should have done the work himself" what kind of logic is that?
Like I said man if you take a car somewhere and something happens the owner is liable too they made the choice to take it to the shop, they made the choice to not do it themself. Well hey this is just my opinion and as far as rods like I said last ones were for my buddies tbird turbo coupe waited almost a month for some custom length rods. But like I said I am only coming from the side of a consumer not a shop, might be different for a shop then.
