Just for a touch up on this issue. Ive driven my friends 600whp m3 and it has smg(auto) and it wasnt very hard, you hit the gas and push a button when to shift, with an auto all you got to do is correct the rear end when it sways. Ive been driving my m6 for about a year now and still cant launch worth ****. Imagine 600whp in a manual, launching, correcting rear end, bouncing it off the limitertill you have speed. So much going on with a manual.

m6 t56
I know M6 is Manual 6 speed. Are there varations of the M6 within the 4th gens. When looking for short throws most say fit the t-56 manual transmission. Is t-56 the real name and M6 slang?

I have driven a stalled auto, and had several autos and sticks. Rice burners, Mustangs, and Big block olds. Across the board the manuals are always mroe fun and challenging. Even when I was a kid and fell sucker to the 5.0 world, the 5 spds were more fun and challenging even if I lost to someone power shifting an AOD. I passed up a lot of cherry low milage auto SSs before I found my M6. There is a reason cherry auto SSs for sale are a dime a dozen and a M6 SS in equally good condidtion are hard to find.
