Can you link me the calculator? Im having difficulty finding it on the website.

How would I be too late to apply for it?

I didn't say too late to apply for it, I said too late to apply to avoid the one week waiting period (which will be 2 if you delay).

Id love too I already registered for 12 units during the summer session.

My only concern is how do you prove to EDD that your activly seeking work? From what ive been told you have to mail EDD some forms proving that you job seeking.

What exactly do they require from you to keep your benefits?

Don't mention schooling during your future interviews.

If I am a hiring manager, "schooling" means I need to work around your schedule.

Sorry, no advice on companies. All of the jobs I have come across lately are for experienced sales positions.

I will be looking for an experienced phlebotomist in the next month or so, working out of Riverside/Corona.

Hey James, You can always try a staffing agency for the time being. I started that way and I got hired permanently.

well i too am in your current situation.. here in michigan i just file a claim online.. wait for acceptance.. now every 2 weeks i just call a number and answer questions by touch tone and get a check the next day. even if you had to prove you were job seeking, just really go apply places and send them copies of apps.. if you don't get the job you still make out, and if you do get it you still make out.. win/win

1st thing you do is don't tell them you're going to school. They will automatically decrease your benefit.

2nd, they make you sign up for their online job search (you post your resume).

3rd, its not like before where you document who/where you applied for a job. You just check off the appropriate boxes on the form stating you are able to accept full-time employment, looking for work, and did not start any training, etc. Under no circumstances do you change your answers unless you find a job.

4th, you will have to attend an info session with them on how to find a job, how to keep your benefits. You have to go, don't put it off or they will withhold your money until you do.

Again, do not mention school to EDD unless you want less money, this includes the box regarding training (check "no").
