Default Update

So I just replaced the oil pump, oil pick up tube gasket, and cam retaining plate. Oil pressure didn't change much. So I advised ArcticSLPSS to look for a new short block. Ether a new LS1 block or a 6.0 iron block.

Did you check the welsh plug while the front cover was off? If its not sealing properly the oil pressure will drop due to the oil being drained back into the oil pan.

Did you check the tolerance? I ask because I know he said the engine was built, This plug is removed while machine work is being done to clean out the main oil gallery and it has happend. Thats why some of us add a little bit of insurance to that .
