True Duals in So Cali

True Duals in So Cali How many of you guys are running true duals? I know there are a few, but I wanted to know if the cops have given you and crap about it? Im thinking about getting some dumped at the axle, but I dont wanna get harrased by the cops. I dont hot rod my car when I drive it and its a daily driver but when Im at school I put maybe a 100 miles on it a month.
Let me tell you in a few months. I pick mine up tomorrow. It is going to be pretty loud too since I have stainless long tubes, no cats and single chamber mufflers. I do have out of state plates though. I don't drive on side streets much though. Mine has been pretty loud for about a year's worth of driving, and I have only been bothered once. By the time he walked to my window, he appologized because he saw I had IL plates and sent me on my way.

I'm running TDs...only been harassed twice, and wasnt ticketed.
i ran open headers for a month around diamond bar/walnut/chino hills a couple years ago and wasn't given any problems either

Open headers must be really loud. Do you mean headers with a Y-pipe & cutout? I run that once in a while when I go to the track & it sounds like a race car. I can't imagine yours is louder than mine.

No Im pretty sure Chris mean open headers.
Now I know theres that huge debate saying that LTs are better then Mids. Now IF I go mids with an x pipe and dumped will there/do you think there will be a huge power difference compared to LTs, x pipe and dumped?

check out LS1sounds.com for sound clips. There are quite a few there for the ls1. I had a pretty hard time finding sound clips on that site or any other for LT1s though, which I am sure you are not worried about.
yes, i do mean straight open headers. I ran around for a month like that with no problems (this includes sitting at stop lights right next/in front of/behind cops..), i bought shat my pants when they were around me though
i have no experience with mids...i have seen guys pull great numbers from them, but last i checked there aren't any smog legal mids...if there are no smog legal mids you may as well go for the LTs
