I need to know which bolts I can use, Ive heard I can use the starter bolts? true?

I believe it is a m1.25 thread bolt. I know I used a bolt out from the back of the head where the ground strap goes, and took it to home depot to match it. They sell the same ones only plenty long for an engine stand.

Make sure they're grade 8 bolts atleast thats what i've been told to use on my SBC 350

I used grade 8 9/16 bolts on mine. It was on the stand for almost a year.

on my really old engine stand I use only three bolts and it hold my iron block fully built no prob with just reg bolts. I have even loaded it up on the trailers before and drove it all over the bumps up and down the 74 without a prob. You will be more then fine with reg bolts!

Use 4 grade 8 bolts that screw in atleast 1" into the block.
