love that reverse split cam!!!
Just be sure to be careful if you are playing with the SD tune and boost. Dont go out and beat up on it without a wideband. When you bring it down to dyno, ill show you some stuff to help you with any changes you make later playing with the software.

Default Need smog tune for my '02 Camaro SS.

Hi Jim, my SS needs to pass emissions testing, I have been using LS1 Edit to do my own tuning since I've had it. It runs fine, but a little on the rich side. I really can't get it to idle well at 600 rpm, so I run it at 1000. I think its time to have a pro give it a legitimate tune. It has the following mods:

Cam, 218/218@559 lift - 114 LSA
CC 918 valve springs
Mid length headers with cats
Pulleys
SLP MAF with ported throttle body
SLP exhaust

Can you do this for me and please PM me on the cost? I live in Santa Clarita.
Thanks!

Roland

No PSI here, just throttle and bottle!!! lmao.. I will have the VE tables, and STFTs dialed in pretty close by the time I take it down there.. my LM1 took a crap on me, so I am just going to use the LTFTs and STFTs to get the VE close..

I would love to see some "real-time" tuning advice, like making quick changes for weather... that would help a ton!!!

Thanks man, I will be seeing you here shortly for that driveshaft I called you about the other day..

You should pass with that camshaft with cats with no problem. The largest cam we have had go through smog is a 224/227 and it barely passed. 224/224's pass with no issues usually.

PM me or call me with what you are looking to get done and ill let you know what I can do for you. We've been pretty busy/buried for a long time now, so we dont get into general mechanical repair on a regular basis because we've got alot of LSx conversions and builds going on all the time.

If it is an LSx swap/conversion, We can put an LS1 in anything you can dream up. Whether that is a golfcart, ice cream truck or a shortbus, we can do it.

I just wanted to take the Time to say what a stand up guy I think Jim is. I dropped a valve in my blown LS6 based forged 383 stroker in my Z and Jim spent quite a bit of time discussing my new build on the phone. He didnt blow smoke up my A$$ or try to sell me a ton of the most expensive race parts or anything like that. He was straight foward and base on his reputation and feed back I received from some of my other LSx buddies, will be pulling my engine this weekend and sending it to him.
