Out of state regisration, Ca to Az
Would i have problems getting a potential car registered under my parents rental house in Yuma Az. They live here in California and so do I, but would we just have to show ownership of the house in Arizona to get the car registered in Arizona?
Thanks guys, and this is totally hypothetical
edit: can i do the whole regisration process online? i have seen that you can reregister but i dont see anything about new registarion.

Yuma doesn't require emissions. Only two towns in Az require it. Phx and Tucson. Everything else is considered the "country" so no emissions.
As long as you can prove owner ship......I don't think they check for primary residence. Also you can have everything sent to your email, so you don't need to receive your mail to get it reregistered. It is all online now.

hey thanks for the info guys, i appreciate it. If anyone else wants to chime in also with what they know that is cool.
How is the DMV there?
Here a phone call will do nothing but waste your time, and if you just walk in the wait is at least an hour more like an hour and a half.

my 95 T/A was registered in phoenix and only had to run the dyno test which cost $27. I don't believe emissions is required outside of maricopa county though.
DMV in phoenix sucks ***. I had to wait over 3.5 hrs to register 2 cars and change my license and the lady behind the counter tried to tell me i couldn't do all of those at the same time. i was like "look lady, i just waited in line for over 3 hours and your sign says i can do 4 things at once. 2 cars and a license = 3. i am NOT coming back again"

I live in Tucson, had to haev a level three inspection for a salvaged rebuilt title on an 86 iroc i had. It had not cats or mufflers, almost just straight headers. The inspection place didn't care about that, they just wanted to make sure the car was sound enough to drive on the streets, and would not kill you or other people. I forgot how much it cost, but was somewhere near the 100 dollar range. Had to wait an hour for the inspection, but the guy was cool. Also I couldn't just take it in to them. Had to make an appointment and it was three weeks after I called. Just a heads up on that. Not to sure how they do it in Yuma though, Would imagine it would play out the same way.

Pffft. I'm going to register in another state so I don't get hit with photo radar mailings all the damn time. But Yuma should work out well unless they start smogging there too. I guess with a 95 it could be hit or miss on the visual here but you definitely get hit in CA?
