im tired of this fukn car since i bought it i have nothing but put in work, money an time into it..
its a 92 25th anni. z28 m5
so yesterday the damn TPS sensor went out, so i replaced it an the harness because it was bad.
so i went to try it out an it was running very good maybe 20 mins later
the fukn engine starts knockin as time passes bye it gets worse an worse..
so now it sounds like if someone is hitting it with a mallet or something...
what do you guys recommend i dont have a lot of money at the time to do a lot to it...
i was thinking of doing a tpi 383 stroker with new aftermarket heads, an bunch of stuff...
rite now its a 305 tpi with a t-5
fuken sucks to have thing after thing go wrong
please let me know what i should do...

My 3rd gens have been some of the most reliable cars ive owned. A few years back I had a 92 Z28 350 TPI that I used to romp on @ 208K, on a daily basis, that ran fine until the day I sold it, and when I spoke to the new owner recently he said it was still alive and kickin. But of course, cars are one of those things where its all in your luck of the draw (or maintenance...ie, previous owners). Sorry to hear about your misfortune though.
If you have a daily driver I would set the Z aside and save for new drivetrain, LTX/LSX if possible. There are plenty of fast TPI cars as well, but they take some work to flow in the higher RPMs. And that work = $$$. In the end, it just all depends where you want your power.

Depends on what your putting in it. Your going to need a custom computer chip burned most likely to get the most potential of the setup. And be very careful buying used motors..especially the older ones. Very rarely can you just throw it in and its going to be all fine and dandy. Where are you getting this motor? Does the guy have receipts for the build? What are the miles? What are the specs of the motor? We need more info..
no im getting my stock 305 rebuilt an stroked out to a 328
an with new pistons, rods, sleeves, cams, an other stuff

How much power are you trying to make.
And please ditch the idea of making a 328...if you are going to build a stroker motor, don't waste your time with anything less than a 383. The cost will be the same, but the power potential will be much greater. Sourch a good condition SBC 350 or 400 block and build it from that.
Also, you don't need a stroker motor to make power. I've seen plentey well built 350/355's well into the 400rwhp for a reasonable cost. (emphasis on well built). Don't just throw parts together, get parts that work with eachother.
