Hey ya'all Phoenix members!
I need some opinions on general areas out there. I'm planning a road trip there next February to attend an event & need to make some hotel/motel plans.
Take a look at this map & tell me what area/s to stay away from.
The event is downtown at the convention center. Not really sure if I wanna pay high-dollar for a downtown hotel, unless I can get a Priceline deal or something. I'll be coming in from the Flagstaff area after a Grand Canyon visit with the family on a Sunday afternoon. Out early Wednesday morning from the airport.
Have any recommendations? Let me know!

i'd stay out of the central phoenix area. i'd go with 10, 13, 15, or 16.

Half of a good meal in central and south phoenix is the risk that you could be stabbed or robbed at any time. Thats a risk I'm willing to take.

I would also recommend areas off the 101 on the east side. Much higher chance of staying in an overall nice area.

Hit me up when you are in town and maybe we can meet up for some car and Hawk talk.

Hey David, 10 or 15 is most likely where I'll find a room. Won't have the Firehawk with us because we'll be flying into Vegas the week before. Then rentin' a car & doin' the HDam/GCanyon stuff on the way to Phoenix. Flyin' out of Phoenix the following week.
First week will be the Concrete show in Vegas & the second week is the Painting show in Phoenix. But we'll have a couple extra days to wander around & see what's out there in the neighborhood.
