personally I like the front look of the new Mustangs but the rear is UGLY hate the tail lights. but I am happy for Ford for FINALLY making their Mustang GT able to compete with GM. for years...... the GT hasnt been able to compete with a Camaro. I will wait to see one on the dyno to actually confirm its hp/tq.

problem i already see with the new stang is 6500 peak power and they wont put a gear in it that will make the power useable. Car needs a 4.30/4.56 gear to really get the most out of it. I know my 2v stang loved its 4.30 gears, 4.10s would have done the job on spray but not on motor

i used to own a mustang too. worst torque curve know to mankind. 400+ hp out of the 5.0 doesn't really mean much if it takes forever and a day to get there. but we shall see.

I am glad it went back to the new 5.0 instead of who's dick is bigger lol. And yes Ford has a diiferent torque curve. Look at the GT500, max torque is way to high. Either way Ford has always put there numbers higher than they really are and we all know the LS platforms have always ran exceptionaly hard. I am glad Ford has gotten back to the competition, it's nice to have some challenge from time to time. I can't wait to see it run a LS3 Camaro. I have a feeling Ford fans are going to open their mouths to soon and then complain after for not having a 10 second car that every mustang is right lol. And yes if GM put forged components and a DOHC setup I could just imagine the power increase. Motor swaps or upgrades for the new Mustang will be very expensive. Just my .02

And for anyone arguing about who had the fastest 3rd gen car, seriously? lol. I had a 90 RS and OMG it was slow. The new Civic SI is almost as fast as those TPI and 5.0 engines.
