plans... nah tryin to find one to put in my dads 64 impala. he wants a carb motor so im tryin to convince him to let me build him a carbd LS motor. ive been showing him pictures and stuff and i think he might do it.

Is he one of those die hard SBC guys?

My buddy has a 86 Camaro and he keeps sinking his money into his "Almighty" carbed SBC, not that they can't be made fast, but you have to put together a set up that works well together, not throw a bunch of parts together. As of right now a stock LT1 can smoke him, I told him to swap a LS1 or LT1 into it instead of building his GM goodwrench crate motor from the very beginning, but he's stubborn...

that shows the lack of research... like with everything read and learn what doesnt work and what does.

True, but that's even more $$$
Last I checked, those LSx carb conversion kits are pricey...

yeah the was actually my plan. i was goin to sell my mazda and buy a nova,chevelle pre-smog muscle car and build a LSX/LMX/LQX carbd motor setup.
