Default Black 8 point roll cage

Wanted to know where I can get a already black painted 8 point roll cage for a 98 trans am thanks

powder coating is not that expensive, you could buy one from JEGS and have it done locally.

That's what Ima do if I can't find a black one the link is not working any other website?

you wont find a roll bar that needs to be welded in black cause well as it states need to be welded. You can get a roll bar and then use paint and paint it black and you will have a black 8pt. If you can find paint that will hold up to the heat of welds let us know

Exactly, no point in a bolt in roll cage because its not legal, you weld the cage in then paint it.

Or you can weld it together and paint it, and if you find a way to get it in the car fully assembled let us know.

Haha, I put an assembled 4pt in my bug once but never an 8 pt. on a VW you just cut the roof off and weld it back on lol.

No, you don't cut it off you unbolt it. They have like 24 bolts that hold the pan to te body and then you can remove the body with just two guys. You then weld the cage into the Pam and then set the body back on it and bolt it down. It is a lot easier then one thinks.

Thats true I forgot that about VWs, Mine were never fast enough to need a cage.

wolferacecraft sells one that comes powder coated black

actually they are not, tech people normally just dont look. the rear bars needed to be welded to be legal, rest can be bolted in.

Yes I understand that, rear bars need to be welded to the main hoop, but that is it. it bolts in everywhere else. So IMO it is a bolt in cage and legal. but its a matter of opinion ofcourse.
