A wheel repair place may beable to "fix" it but I don't know if it will be true. It does look like a clean bend not all choppy. This happened to my cousin once and the city told him basically they didn't care, but that was out here in apple valley.

no clue about calling the city... but ouch man sorry for the bad day

actually thinking about it i don't think the city will do anything for you except say ok we'll evaluate to repair the road, it's worth a shot though, but your insurance company might help you out

That sucks. I'm sure you can file a claim with the city and get them to pay for it.

That rims is 100% fixable. I have had three TTII's that were waaaaaaay worse. I think that it was about $150 each to fix it.

I've seen numberous occassions where the city has paid for damages caused by pot holes.

Get the city to pay for a new rim, you get your old one fixed, sell the new one and keep the profit. As far as the place I got mine done at, I dont rem the phone number but they were in Ocean Side. Did a great job too. I had one rim that was taco shaped and off its axis and they were able to fix it!

god damn, completely ripped the lip from the rest of wheel!

I'd love to see this happen in slow motion, it would be crazy to see the tire flex inward that much to bend a wheel.

if you hit the pothole at the right spot... tire just drops right into it and the wheel makes a direct hit to the pavement

Yep, happened to me twice on my truck. I spent $125 to have it fixed and they made sure it was true; since my wheels are forged they didn't have much trouble straightening it out.

Sucks that it happened but at least its fixable.
