Aluminum flywheel is gonna be a little more difficult to launch at the drag strip. You will see better 60' with a steel one.

actually just launch a few rpms higher, car will rev up much faster. If you have a cam in the car its def worth getting the alum flywheel. I've driven both alum and steel and car was a night and day difference with teh alum flywheel. Then again I could launch it at 6300 rpms and hook so

So the ls7 clutch can handle mid 400's to the wheels? And the aluminum flywheel is worth the extra cash, thats good to know.

I was in your exact position about 2-3 years ago (Feels like yesterday). Sean was installing my Edge 3600.

Ended up doing a rebuild of my current 4L60E, and it's held up WAY better than expected.

Going to a 4L80E here in the near future though, so no worries.

Yeah I knew it was only a matter of time anyways.
But now the money I was going spend on my cam install is gunna have to go to the trans. but atleast I wont have to worry about the trans going after the added power lol!

You almost had me? You never had me - you never had your car... Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake! You almost had me?

Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the piston rings you fried.
