there was a couple of places that have the same law here, about not spitting, essentially in public.
not sure what their reasoning was there, but here in phoenix, one of the suburbs had a tuberculosis clinic, and TB can be transmitted thru someone spitting on the ground. so, yeah, there's that one.
i'd like to try the having a man with a lantern in front one tho,
and that last law in SF is one great reason for me NOT to move there.. i mean, other than the prices and just generally not wanting to live there. heh.

some of these are just "no ****" plays on other laws.

where IS that legal in CA? As far as I know public intoxication anywhere in ca is a misdemeanor.
