im thinking about buying a crx
well im thinking about buying a crx so i can stop putting soo many miles on my ls1's..... in the past month and half ive put about 3k miles on my formy and im not liking this very much.
anyways this car will be for about 1 year and then i may give it away to a family member or just sell it.... im driving about 50+ miles a day just to work and well i dont want to drive formy tooooo much. id rather save gas on a crx and put as many miles on them....
now my question is what would be a good year or anything i should know about them? any flaws besides being crap?
anyone know of great running crx for under 1500? let me know thanks

If it's an original motor I'm guessing it'll give you problems depending on the mileage. My friend has a 95 hatch with the original motor and it's been giving him problems lately

I got a crx for sale. I wouldnt say in good condition as is completely gutted with just seats. We were thinking of building it but never got around to it so its just sitting their but it runs. If you want to check it out and make an offer let me know.

Don't know if you're looking strictly for a CRX, but I've been daily driving a 92 Saturn SL 5 speed for the past few years that hasn't given me any trouble and I'm getting around 40-42 mpg on the highway on a consistent basis. Bought it for $1,300 with 107K miles. Might be a good option if you can't find a CRX. Maintenance is cheap and easy to do yourself. They burn a little oil but nothing to be too concerned about.

Worth a phone call. It's the original owner and they are in Santa Monica.

I too have a Saturn. It's a 2000 SC1 with 152,xxx miles and not a darn problem. I do 90 miles a day to and from work (45 miles one way) That includes 1 way of mountain hill climb. And with the hill climb, my Saturn gets 35-37mpg. I paid $1,250. Talked the seller down from $1,800.

+1 on those old saturns. I daily drive a 2003 corolla with salvage title. Bought it for $5k in 2006 with 60k (not original miles). Trouble free all these years.
IMO, having a slow car to drive during the day really helps me appreciate my SS.

My ex had a 2000 saturn SC that gave her a lot of problems before she sold it. It had a little over 130,000 miles on it. She just sold it as is and bought a new car instead.

Yea man. I wanna sit my ws6, I drive it 20 miles a day for 6 days. I hate putting so many miles a day. I want a little POS, but I know when I'm driving it I'm gonna get mustangs and other potential races all around me.

THAT'S ALL?! My commute to work is 80+miles a day round trip. When i was going to school it was even more..... 7 days a week.

Well I'm tripping. It's 40 total, to many for me specially when my rear end is grinding and brake pads are at 10% haha. I brake with my tranny, from, 6 to, 4th, 3rd,2nd,1st. Hard times and gonna do my brakes till sat and hopefully they hold.
