Default New Cali License Plate Law..better straighten them out!

Not a big deal, just know some of us run the license plates on the car trailer or jet-ski trailer on the fender not horizontal...straighten it out or you could be stopped. I know this topic/question came up a long time ago, but here's some new literature.



Background
Existing law requires license plates to be securely fastened at all times to the vehicle to prevent the plate from swinging, be mounted in a position to be clearly visible, and be maintained in a condition to be clearly legible.
New Information
Effective January 1, 2011, legislation amended CVC §5201 to include that license plates be mounted in a position so that the characters are upright and display from left to right.

Totally agree but is a small money grab being that all fix it tickets now carry a small fine.

I'm ****-retentive. I go nuts if the heels of my boots aren't against the wall when I take them off. My plate is gonna be mounted correctly! Haha!!

And they say Cali is not becoming a Gestapo-state. Like, not being able to throw on certain parts b/c they're not CA-legal...with CA being the only state in the union where they're not illegal (CARB or otherwise).
