Default Anyone in the Woodland Hills, California Area?

I'm currently looking at a 2000 SS Camaro 6-Speed. He has sent me pictures and we have even talked price a bit, but it's still a really long drive (8 hours each way) to test drive and inspect a car that could be a total piece of crap.

Does anyone live in the Woodland Hills area and feel like checking the car out a bit for me? I would appreciate it if you could give it a good test drive and really give the car a looking over. If everything went well, I would be coming out to give the car a second test drive myself of course. I really need to know if it seems like a reliable car or one I will need to trailer back to Tucson.

I could PayPal you some gas/beer money or something too. PM me or just reply to this thread and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks guys.

P.S. It's a good excuse to go drive around an SS for a bit.

I'll be down in that area tonight and tomorrow. Usually every weekend. I can check the car out for you if you'd like. I've had my car for about six years now and I do most of the work on it myself. I definitely know most of the problem areas and such. **** you could even make a list and I'd be more than happy to look the car over using it. Let me know.

Thanks man. Elvis is planning on checking it out tomorrow, but if for some reason he can't, I'll let you know.

And that is funny. Most people around here end up going to Phoenix or California to find cars because the deals are ALOT better than here in Tucson.

Naw just seen the CL ad's. And it's pretty cheap. Have you run a CarFax etc on it?

I ran a VIN check to make sure it was a real SS, but I haven't done a CarFax yet.

I would definitely run one before making the trip out though. I just want to see if it's worth spending the $40 for the CarFax before I do.
