Buying a Corvette
What's up guys!!! Been MIA for awhile but I'm getting back in the game with a C5.. The question I have is what are the major issues I should be looking for. Thanks for the help!!!!

The corvette is Chevy's flagship for a reason. Look for excessive tread wear on the rear tires. Parts are more expensive for a corvette, known as the vette tax. I would make sure all the electronics and guages are working. Once you purchase a C5 invest in a Column Lock Bypass from Corvettes of Houston or another manufacturer. It's a security issue involving the column locking mechanism when the wheel is turned with no key. On a C5 the column lock is electrical, and could malfunction and disable the car. Most owners install them for "no worry" insurance.

The newer the better, look for body damage or overspray where damage may have been repaired, check under the front bumper there are two bars the run front to back and get damaged very easily, rocking seats are also an issue.
I have started driving my WS6 to keep the miles on my vette down and I will say that I have missed it. Its bone stock now but its alot of fun to drive again, and I get a **** ton more compliments on my WS6 than I do on my Vette

Just my preference, when it is preference you really can't be backwards. Yeah the vette performs amazing, I would buy one to daily, but that's my opinion.
