Perform a compression test. That cylinder you pulled the oily plug out of is going to be low. Next do a leak down just confirm.... That you need an overhaul. Pm me if you'd like a lead to a well priced speciality shop.

How long has it been since the last time you topped off your coolant? Have you checked the level at the radiator cap since? If it's still full and its been at least a couple of hundred miles it sounds like you're in the clear as far as BHG's go.

topped off the coolant yesterday...replaced thermostat and water pump so i had to drain the entire system...i'll drive it for a few days and check the level.
