car randomly shuts off then takes time to restart?

So car started fine, turned it off won't crank. So I guess i will check the relays and vats

No I know. You are right in everyway especially if it's said online where people don't get sarcasm and other stuff that might not be serious.

Anyway OP. I think checking your crank sensor would be best. I know that even with cam sensor not present most cars will still start but not run right. With a good scanner I believe that u can check for Cam sensor signal to the PCM.

Does the security light stay on or blink when it won't start?

I had a Problem on my 02 TA were It would sometimes start and sometimes it wouldn't and I would have to push start it. I thought the ignition might of took a crap but I didn't replace it. I checked power to the starter and sure enough it was the starter, these starters won't click or give any warning.

yep figured it out. Crank sensor no good + starter wire was loose and not making a good contact.
