Default Need shop recommendations - 4L60E LA local

A little more than a year ago I lost all gears while driving on the freeway, car wont move in any gear. Car has been sitting since then, and im ready to get it back running again. This was a "built" 4L60e from a shop in Canoga Park, but I had to have it rebuilt several times under warranty. Needless to say I will not being going with that builder again, so im looking for a reputable builder preferably close to West LA.

Also since the car has been sitting for so long what precautions should I take before running it again? I would start it every week or so until the battery died, so its more or less been sitting for a year give or take.

Thanks!

Been tellin' ya for a while man, Xtreme Transmissions in Lomita, or The Toy Shop in Pomona.

As far as the car sitting, add some water remover to the fuel tank (Iso-Heet), add fresh fuel, change the coolant, and do an oil change.

What kind of converter do you have in it? Both the toy shop and Johny are great local people that stand behind there work.

Yup, not many places around SoCal that do quality work with warranties! Very happy with mine.
