You already pmed me once bashing jim at cal speed. You dont need to repeat it every chance you get. Its really becoming annoying.

This thread was for tuning advice in socal... Hopefully there is more than just 2 shops in southern california.

Hahaa...And the dude complaining has a -1 trader rating. Jim would never allow a backfiring car to leave his shop after a tune. Hell, he wouldn't let my Camaro leave the shop after the nitrous install without the aftermarket amp being put back under the bottle bracket. So, I will call bullshit on B Layton.

All I can add is, Jim has been fantastic to work with. Totally honest and on the up-and-up, the quality of his work is beyond reproach.

Your choice in tune should be based on how well their customers cars run, not the price. You shouldn't be modding your car to the point where it needs a tune if you cannot afford the tune itself.

And as others have said. I consider Mail-order tunes to be startup tunes. They will get your car running well enough so that you may drive your car to a shop to have it dyno-tuned. Unless you are going to log your car and mail the ecm back and forth until your logs and AFRs are perfect. But that could take months

If you love your motor and want the most power go to CMS. I've had 10+ cars tuned by Ryne at CMS. There is no one better!

My latest from last Friday on the stingy dyno!

you have to schedule in about a week to 2 weeks in advance.. if your car is 100% mechanically and electrically ready then it will be done in about 2-4 hours. so you can wait around
