Yes I will be getting a lq4 and I want to make it into a 418 stroker but I don't know of a place that will do a good job and I want to see how much it'll cost.

i would not go longer then a 4" stroke on a lq4 block, the sleeve legnth is too short therefore the oil rings tend to come out the bottom of the sleeve , which can induce oil burning...

Is there any way around that. I was going to get the rotating assembly from texas speed. The 418/421 lq4/lq9. But if its too big I think there's a 390 or something like that.

If I go 402/408 would I still have a problem with the rings slipping off?

What would a 418 be , like 50 over?

But what should I be looking to pay in order to get a motor stroked and getting the new rotating assembly installed.

believe .060" over is 414... no real point in boring it that far over no reason...
likely pay around 3500 for quality components, machining and assembly.. not including the block

Well I was planning on getting the rotating assenbly from texas speed and then taking it in with the block. All I'd need them to do is all the machining and installing the rotating assembly

Machining and assembly at a quality shop is gonna be at least $1200 unless you have hook-ups. Key word being quality. I can slap everything together for you for $200 if you want to save money. No warranty though and the cell phone number I give you may or may not be from WalMart. $3500 is about right for a proper forged rebuild in this case.
