Is there any way around that. I was going to get the rotating assembly from texas speed. The 418/421 lq4/lq9. But if its too big I think there's a 390 or something like that.

Well I was planning on getting the rotating assenbly from texas speed and then taking it in with the block. All I'd need them to do is all the machining and installing the rotating assembly

Machining and assembly at a quality shop is gonna be at least $1200 unless you have hook-ups. Key word being quality. I can slap everything together for you for $200 if you want to save money. No warranty though and the cell phone number I give you may or may not be from WalMart. $3500 is about right for a proper forged rebuild in this case.
