Had a minor accident after you and KC left....tighting down the oil pan and my open end wrench dropped into my right eye. yeah, didn't have safety glasses on....basically, I have been on the DL for 48 hours or so....going to get back under the car tonight and see if we can finish this.
Man, my eye is fucked up.

Got the wideband in and running. Waiting for my other parts to get here then the real tuning shall commence. Should have the lid and MAF adapter tomorrow followed by the throttle body on FRYday. Looking to be a slow moving week-end til I get the VE dialed in.

remember you have to unplug the maff and force open loop to do ve,your car also has a backup ve so all your changes have to be there first, then cut and paste and smooth into your standard ve table. Then smooth the maff to your ve table and watch your trims.

Have no idea what that is. Remember I'm using HPTuners. I can get some real time tuning functions but think I'm better off going the old fashioned way til I get a thorough understanding of whats going on. I've done a few adjustments and looks like I'm doing it right. My commanded AFR and actual AFR are getting closer anyways. I hope the MAF tuning is easier. Dont be shy about throwing advice my way, first time tuner ya know.
As for forcing open loop, I made a custom tune that disabled the maf, ltfts, stfts, dfco, and something else plus I unplugged the maf.

just when you data log, there is a function to force open or closed loop,no need to make a separate tune for it.
The ve and maff is cake.
watch your data log if the trims are plus its adding fuel,it goes by a percentage, just ad that percentage back into your ve table till your as close to zero fuel trims as possible,1 to 2 percent is acceptable as long as its taking fuel away not adding fuel.So if your fuel trim says 6% then you need ad6% to your ve table.Same goes for the maff transfer function. If you have questions feel free to call me,i will also be at the shop tuning my buddys pickup if you need some help.I can show you how to auto ve with your wide band also. Also remember that you have to do all your changes in the backup ve table first, then cut and paste and smooth it out,i hate 98 99 2000 ecus for that.

done ****** around for the night. VE not really cake, not really difficult either. Will **** around with it more tomorrow.
For the VE tables I made the changes to the main table then pasted the appropiate lines to the secondary this way when its done its done, maybe a bit time consuming but hell I got time.

Robert you really need to make your base changes in the back up ve file.then cut and paste and smooth. You will be fighting the backup file,as when its forced open and in speed density it reads off of the backup ve table as its main table.

What?? No Oil Pressure???
Yep, finally finished the car last night at 3am and when we started it.....no oil pressure. Argh!! What a pain in the ***....ok, going to check and see if there is a problem with the O-ring on the oil pickup going into the pump. If no problems with that then maybe we can assume that the new TSP Ported LS6 Oil pump is bad? I guess I could always put my original LS1 oil pump back in. There was nothing wrong with it...I was trying to be proactive...BACKFIRE!
Also, after I fix this minor issue....I am going to upgrade my OS to the 2002 OS....I think that this OS will have a better chance dealing with the changes I made compared to the 2000 OS until I figure out how to put together a real tune with my EFILive.....OOhhh, what a learning curve that is going to be.
