Super Chevy Show 2005- Pomona Raceway Well its coming up quick guys and last year when I pitched it here there wasnt as much interest as I had hoped from you guys.....This year the car club I am president of W.C.G.M.P (West Coast GM Performance) is doing our First Annual Super Chevy Run. Last year we cruised down with about 10 members and met up with a local Socal F-body club before entering the fairgrounds. This year I will be trying to organize a very large pre-show get together.
We are a new club formed out of the ashes of a F-body club. Our new focus is GM Performance as some of us have purchased vettes and others have older muscle cars. Our members that went last year had a absolute blast and it looks like we will have better club praticipation this year.
We will be leaving the Bay area Friday April 29th to caravan down and will return Sunday May 1st. Anyone interested in cruising down with us please post up or email me at shawn11762@msn.com . Or if you are already in the area and would like to just meet up with us before the show and roll in together , let me know.
Last year the show itself wasnt as good as normal because there was a Nascar event that same weekend that drew 300,000 people. This years show isnt sharing automotive enthuisiasts and it should be great.
There is a car show, drag racing, nitro coupes, vendor midway, and many other items to fill your day. Go to http://www.superchevyshow.com/05sched.html for more info. We are currently working on acquiring discounted hotel rates for those looking to cruise down and stay with the group.

So if you drive a GM performance vehicle - Corvette, F-body, Performance sedan (CTS-V, GTO, IMPALA SS, etc.), or pre 73 muscle car and would like to meet up...lets do it.

Very nice...you need to roll out to our pre-show meet and pop that hood for us 
Its drawing closer and I believe just my club is rolling down 10 cars maybe more...... There are a few others from local northern clubs that plan on rolling or will already be at the show and meet us at the pre-meet.....
Storekeeper has his San Diego bretheren cruising down.....(last time they had around 10+)
CSULALS1 has himself and 6 other locals coming.......
GMTERNAL is gonna try and rollout a few.....
Be sure to stop by and 
if you are in the pits.

San Diego Group 4-5 cars so far will be meeting at the Rest Stop North of Oceanside at 6AM and leave there at 6:30AM Sharp and cruise up to AppleBee's on Arrow Hwy the 57/210 arriving there at 8AM to meet up with the others and cruise to Super Chev Show.

I have some picks from the show but the Premeet sort of bombed (mostly my clubs fault 
)
The San Diego guys showed early as it was to run from 8am to 9am . They had 5 or 6 and then 5 or 6 others dropped by. They left at 8:45 right when we rolled in ...we must have just missed each other...We rolled in with 9 and the CSULALS1 and 3 or 4 others rolled in. My brother showed with his Nova and that brought us to 14 that rolled to the show together. Had we all hooked up we would have had about 25. (Which would have been better than last year. Oh well maybe we will plan it better next year

i showed up at the show around 10am.couldnt find my camera,but i entered the dot bracket,which sucked cause i only got to make 1 run.rob from strictly performance had a camaro that went 10.60's.oh and i ran 13.7,dialed in @13.6 stock 99 ss
