Castic Lake Picnic and Car Show May 7th 2005 This is from Fbodyaddicts.com (this event should be huge and fun.)
The 3rd annual Castaic Customer Appreciation Day picnic & car show has been organized. The date is Saturday, May 7th 2005 at Castaic Lake west lagoon park, lot #4, same location as the last 2 events. This event is primarily for F-Bodies, but all muscle cars are welcome. The gates open at 6:00 am and setup will begin. Lunch & car show judging will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, so get there early if you want to be judged. The awards and raffle will follow, and the show will end with an optional 70 mile cruise through Lake Hughes canyon at 2:30 pm, ending at the Pyramid Lake observation center on I-5.
If you want to race, a drag racing shootout could be arranged at the LACR 1/4 mile track in Palmdale the night before the event, May 6th at 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm. A bracket race for F-Bodies would be held with a trophy for F-Body "King of the Hill" award. Depends if there is enough interest.
We will feature several automotive suppliers, manufactures and car clubs at the event, all donating gifts and prizes for the car show winners and raffle. We will have more categories for prizes, so all attendee’s have a chance to win.
A free BBQ lunch starting at 11:00 am will be presented by donators and volunteers, consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, chips, salsa and more.
This is a non-profit event to bring together the F-Body and muscle car enthusiasts in a display of performance and beauty. From daily drivers to show cars, see the coolest F-Bodies in a competition for best of show and other awards, thanks to the donations from our supporters and volunteers.
Please obey all posted speed limit signs and park rules & regulations. There will be a lot of cars attending, so lets keep it safe & sane.
The lot will be divided by vehicle make, so look for your brand name and try to park in that group. We will probably split up into Camaro's, Firebird’s, and others. Once parked, look for an attendant to get your registration instructions or just go to the SLP canopy. Park entry fee Has been raised to $11.00 this year due to cutbacks from Sacramento (Arnold ).

Note: Please get there early, the park will be quite full that day, so we need to get lots of cars there early to secure the parking lots.
