Tucson and Phoenix are the same they hook you up and just hope they dont look around. No codes no problem. You cant just remove the codes and roll in it wont work.

I had my codes removed by a custom tune by RWTD. Will this cover me in Maricopa county?

........but as long as you turn the code OFF (so the computer does not even LOOK for the part/code...ie: rear O2s) you will go right through.....

96 and later (I think).......all OBD2 cars are just OBD2 scan...they DO NOT even look under the hood/car

pre-OBD2 (or if you don't pass OBD2) are still rollers smog test........

Removing the codes will work. I removed my rear 02's and egr and deleted the codes. It was detected, but they allow you to have 2 items that are inoperative.

Much of AZ does not have smog testing but the Phoenix metro area tests every two years after the car is five years old. They just switched from sniffer to OBD-II testing (96? & newer). My car would pass the sniffer but I have the rear O2's deleted and I went right through.
