Actually, my car hooked up pretty good. Ask MetalMan next time you talk to him. It should hook up even better w/ the new setup.

My WI setup is a Snow Performance w/ the progressive controller, the 225psi pump and 625 jet. It was a bit much with my old turbo & stock engine. But with the built engine and the GT35 it should be just about perfect.

In the fall I took my car back to the dyno and used the MSD Programmable ignition to pull timing back as needed, increasing the boost all the way to 28psi on pump gas. It made 465whp on pump gas @ 28psi (GT3076R) w/o detonation, pulling 8 degrees of timing. That wasn't my normal setup on the street, I did it to make the car safe in case of a boost spike or bad setting in the AVC-R.

However with the Built Engine, AEM, WI and GT35 I plan on running ~28psi on pump gas, increasing the rev-limit to ~7500rpm. I'm shooting for 550whp on pump gas.

That ride home on the freeway from Chris' house last night was fun

Josh ~ "That would be cool if we got a race in"
Me ~ "Ya"
Josh ~ "Is that an....evo?"
Me ~ "Yes"

That was fun.

It was Chad in the blacked out top notch evo. He had his friend in the car. The race was really close..then Josh shifted and started pulling slowly...had about 1.5 cars on him when Chad let off.

Funny thing is i said that when we were within 10 seconds of pulling up behind one...It was that guy with the RS that I was talking to at deer valley the one night...Guess he ran a 12.6 with it...Anyway, he brake boosted and took off before me, then I went and stayed pretty even until I shifted into 4th and it was game over...

Not bad though...

Get a car that you just drive to and from places...Modding cars isn't for you, and you seem to get yourself in too much trouble with them...

I'd chill for a while until you're ready...And don't buy another POS whatever you do...If you go LS1, save up and do it right by getting one with decent miles, and say 01 or up...

Until then, drive a cavalier...

That will increase the path of resistance, causing those cylinders to run too rich...Way wrong idea...

i wouldnt neccessarily say stay away from high milage... i think i prove that point, bought mine with 80k and it now has 97k and the only things that have gone wrong was my rear pinion seal, a blinker that doesnt work, and a fog light burnt out. to this day, my car makes NO knock noises, nor piston slap, and minimal valvetrain noise.

plus for 8 grand i couldnt go wrong, regardless of the wheels that came on it.
