Irwindale Speedway

June 3rd, 2006


30 cars maximum
We have an event at the Irwindale Speedway and looking for more friends to join in the fun. All cars will arrive by 3p.m. We will gather by the ticket office in the handicap parking area. I will ask for our point of contact at the ticket office and I will get all the waivers signed, our POC will give all our tickets and escort us to the chalet area by the grandstands.
Gates open at 4p.m. to the public. Cars may not leave until after racing for the night is over.
2 free tickets for each car in chalet.
$5 off per ticket to any of your friends who attend.
Parade lap on track during pre-race ceremony at approximately 6:30p.m.
WE get to show off our cars in a sort of mini car show.

I will assemble an area for us to meet near Irwindale for everyone to begin arriving. The time to show up will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. At 2:30 pm we will depart to Irwindale. Show up with cars polished, waxed, and ready to rock! WE will be having a blast while we wait and show off our rides, have some ladies check us out and so on. Also any of you that own trophies won at previous shows, please bring them with you.

Mark your calendar down, we are going to have a great time and lastly. I am looking for a Veejay that will have the opportunity to perhaps introduce the group on the microphone of the speedway. I am looking for a lady to do the honors. Please respond for any ladies interested.

For our LS1TECH friends interested, respond via this thread. We have only 30 spaces to fill. Admins, may I get a sticky?

WE will be doing the parade lap in the oval. The crowd is expected around 10K. That will be a rush and a fine opportunity to show off your ride, you are in.

i thought it was something else, you can take me off the list.

 

what if your gas pedal so happen to get stuck and sent you going around in circles on the track?? ummm.... parade laps are boring

 

If there's no racing i'm out too.

 

I have done this before..There is no racing..you are featured guests of the track, park in special area & take 2-3 parade laps behind the track pace car..It's fun to hang out, BS & watch the races for free..

 

WONDER IF WE COULD DO SOME MAJOR BURNOUTS ON THE TRACK... THEY WOULD PROBABLY BE VERY UPSET. CAP LOCKS IS GREAT.

Imagine though 30+ Cars simutaneously doing a burn out, all that smoke, WOW.

Being kicked out would totally be worth it.

I will update all entrees. Yes, we will be doing parade laps in front of an expected crowd of 10K. As for drag racing, should the 1/8 track be open, everyone is more than welcomed to head there and do 8 second runs.
