he needs a 800cfm car, short runner intake, and a SBC cam...Which is about the extent of the stuff they have there...

Son of a bitch...I have a rediculous quantity of laundry to do....
I also did some thinking...I can get around 16,800-17,400 on a trade in for my car +/- some due to the mods minus A/C...I can get a new IS350 for invoice...The difference would be less than 2,000 of inequity that would roll over...Or i could negotiate to the point where there is none...Then I could lease a new IS350, have an awesome car that is comfortable, luxury, faster than an LT1, and has A/C...

do it and i will buy your parts, well headers and y anyway, and you will have a pimp car that you can have plenty of fun with, i used to get bored of having the same car for 2 long, had at least 12 cars by now,lol

josh, who are you kidding... you and i both know your not selling that t/a, you would be heartbroken and you know it. sure, the IS is sweet and all, but one of these nights your going to take that thing out and cruise with us, and your really gonna miss the LS1 lifestyle.
ill tell you what, not being able to drive my car for a half a week really made me realize how much i took my car for granted, finally got to drive it today, and it felt good to be able to drive it again, its amazing what we take for granted sometimes, and dont realize what we have untill its taken from us, or broken.
yes i did the fuel pump for all who was wondering, royally sucked *****. started at about 11am and ended at like 5pm.
my dad and i decided to try it, and what took the most time was getting the damn gas tank out of the car, we disasembled my exhaust right below the thank, only to find the over-the-axle pipe was in the way, we tried ripping that out but it wasnt having it, so we unbolted my whole damn exhaust, then suspension stuff got in the way, took off those 2 bars that go across the car, panhard and something else.. then we lowered the rear end quite a bit, ripped the PS spring out, and unbolted the shocks, to lower the rear alittle more, by then we were pissed off and didnt care, we took off ANYTHING that got in the way. and then we finally got it out, the problem is the damn filler tube, it is attached to the tank, and its like a header job, a puzzle that takes half an hour to figure out how it comes out. so then we got it out, put in the new pump, got the tank in there easily, and started reassembling, the wiring harness was fairly easy, and from there it was fairly straight forward and easy. the hardest part was getting the tank out, and having to keep taking apart my rear end, it was a mess. but its done now, and it runs great.

I know what you're saying, and it is true...The week in the Xb woke me up and let me know how much I enjoyed my car...But still, the point is, I'm getting older...I work with people all the time...Twice I've had to use my personal car to take a customer to the bank to get money...I really hate suffering in the 143 degree temperatures with a car that has no A/C, and is annoying to drive around in...
The car served me well, but the more I think about it, what do I need speed for anyway??? I'll have a high 13 second Luxury car that I can cruise around in and have fun with too, and at the same time be comfortable...This is my 6th car since i've been 18, now 23...I get bored quick, and I'm tired of the inequity...
Just want a car that is reliable, has warranty, convenient features, doesn't scrape, rattle, leak, break, make noise, smell, rub, break, leak, rub, break...
The car won't change what I do or who I am...Still going to do the same things I always do, just in another car...

Wow...If I had a nickel for every time i heard that i'd have enough money to buy 2 of them...It' alright though, I forgive you...I used to think like that when I was young and dumb too, you'll grow out of it...

But then again, I just had this vision of how good it feels to walk past another car at a high rate of speed...The IS would need quite a few mods to get down to the 12's...Not sure how boost is going to work on it either...
Who knows, i may keep the car and Cam it this week...Depends on how things go...

by you saying you can beat an LT1, joey pointed out the fact that he would hope you could with a 40k car... and in my opinion, you just used ricer tactics yourself.
have you ever been to streetfire and read the comments, for instance, a t/a vs. a STI, and the STI owners ALWAYS have to come back with the old "well, race them on a road course or off road then see who wins"... sure, other cars have different strongpoints, but we were not discussing the interior, value, or any of that in regards to the IS350, but rather performance, straight line performance, which is why joey said that.

He is comparing the current value of a 10 year old car to the MSRP of a 2006 model...That's apples to pinecones...
His statement was rediculous...If we want to compare MSRP of his when it was new, that would be more accurate...Lets go $36,000 for the IS350 and say $26,000 for an LT1 TA since an 01 had a sticker in the $31,000 area...
There really is no argument...You must have missed my sarcasm on the interior thing, i was just using the ricer cliches...But that's ok, we all know you guys are acting your age by getting offended over nothing...
Remember this though...I don't care how fast my car is, or who beats me...It means nothing to me...
Can you just let it go, and face the fact that my car is a hunk of **** and leave this all alone though?
