I have a V-1, it's sweet. I catch highway patrol all the time with it, not too many city cops drive around with their radar on, but everytime I see a highway patrol the V-1 goes nuts. It definitely works.

Who makes it? Back in the early 90s I have a radar/CHiPs detector by K40 called SonarRadar (IIRC). Anyway this thing had both a radar detector and a seperate CHP detector, which would read on the repeater signal that the cars had on at all times to repeat the officers shoulder radio. THey were banned/pulled from the market after 6 months or so, and luckily I had mine, up until my Camaro was stolen in 95.

give me the $20 ticket for the illegal detector and ill pass on the $200 speeding ticket lol

I had the valentine and it was good. The escort i have now seems much better though. The escort doesnt have the arrows of the v-1 which sucks, but it tells you the different bands of radar; x , K, Ka..(I think in cali cops can only use Ka band) and this **** is sensitive!
This gift from heaven has saved me so many times its not even funny. Had it about 3 months and it has payed for itself

Yeah my friend has a valentine and he loves it. It has the arrows to tell you which dirrection its coming from and it does as well tell you the different bands of radar. Saved his butt a few times to make me want to get one.

Its a toss up between the V1 and the X50. I had the X50 and liked it, never really saved me. But I still feel it was worth it.

Also you got to add in the 100 difference between the two I believe...that was the deciding factor for me atleast.

ive got an escort and it has more than payed for itself already. you just have to realize that these things arent fool proof and you still have to keep a lookout because some cops turn their radar on once they see you and if you get hit by lazer your pretty much toast. DEF a good investmetn take it from someone who has almost lost his liscense a few times.
