Not a crazy fast sports bike. Something to start out on but still has a decent amount of power to get you out of trouble. Plus it's semi-naked so there's not alot of fairing to **** up when I drop it (We all know new riders drop at least once.... Least thats what I hear) And since it's not all crazy insurance is cheaper. Figured it's something good to learn on until I'm confident enough to move up to a 600 sports bike. =)

SV650 is a great choice. Awesome corner carver & nice low end grunt being that its a v-twin!

I had Matt do my true duals on my WS6...they turned out awesome. Just seeing what the alternatives out there are.

One thing I will say that almost anyone who rides will tell you....You're going to get bored w/it pretty quick.

My first bike was an 00 Gixxer 600...I had the bike 6 months before I got rid of it. A guy I work with bought an 06 SV650 brand new about 2 months ago, he hates himself everyday cuz he's stuck w/a payment on bike he got bored w/after a week.

Just take the MSF course before you get on the bike. It'll be just about the best $250 you can spend.

Damn... well... I suppose it's better to be bored for a bit and get some experience under my belt than to get a 600 and get myself in trouble. Besides, I'll be buying used so hopefully I'll be able to get a decent amount in resale.

More beer FTW!

99BackNBlackZ28- If the clutch is on a late madel f-car $200. You buy parts of course and I can have it done in 3 hrs or so. I think book time on a clutch in one of these cars is 4.7 or so.

Oh ok, I just assumed you were going out and buying new. Good idea on buying used. Now is the best time to buy. No one is riding w/it being so hot out so you should be able to get a good deal. If you have any other questions or need help let me know.

Thanks for the heads up man. Im picking the car up next week & Ill be ordering the clutch at that time. So it'd be a few weeks before I'm ready to have it put in. Plus you're nearby, so that rocks.

You must live over by my buddys Kris & Pat (both f-body guys). They live in that vacinity off of Wigwam Creek.
