SOB...Ticket
So I was cruising home from a buddy’s house and I decided to take a scenic route. It’s really nice, the Firechicken is running good, why the hell not? Now I make a turn onto a side street to start heading home, and I noticed a bike behind me. Now honestly I was thinking, hell yes I hope it’s a 600 LOL. Anyway the bike hangs back, so I don’t think anything of it. Now I normally would make the next turn, but for no reason I kept going straight through the light. At first, the light was red, so I was slowing to a stop when it turned green again. I am doing about 20 at the time it does. I look in my rear view, and the bike has its blinker on to turn left. There is no one in front of me for a while, so I stay tall in second and as soon as I cross the light I nail it. Hit third and top out third to about 90. Well, wouldn’t you know that bike was a cop, and out of nowhere he lit my *** up. Damn, I’m in it this time. So he pulls me over and tells me he was going to turn, but my car got his attention when I was tall in second. He told me he could take me to jail, impound the car, and all this other ****. Well, he comes back after taking my license and registration and I got lucky. He told me he was only giving me an infraction, and only wrote me for 65. I wanted to get out and hug the bastard, but he probably wouldn’t have liked that. He said my car is loud and attracted his attention, so he told me to watch myself from now on. Yeah so it sucks that I got a ticket, but 65 in a 50 sure as hell beats 90 in a 50 and all that comes with it. Thanks officer, wherever you are out there.

By cutting you a break you pay the ticket and you’re still eligible to go pay for traffic school, and leaves you on the street where he’s betting you’ll get caught again. It’s all about revenue.

Wonder if "Mr. Ticket" would go ahead and knock out this smog ref crap for me. That way I wouldnt have to worry about the little things. Good job on the ticket Elliot, sometimes being cool and respectful to an officer will pay off, otherwise sitting there scared shitless will work too.

ouch. In California if a cop gives you a warning and remembers you later, he can write you up for a prior violation up to 1 year later. Luckily, you can't get retried for the older ticket since it has already been let go, but you probably wont get off this time. He's be sure to look up your/his history in the computer and give that as proof to teh judge. Your best bet this time is traffic school.
