Default Good Place for port, polish heads in Los Angeles are.

I want to get my 241 heads ported, polished, milled with valve job etc... Does anyone know of a good place to get this done somewhere in the socal area. thanks

Up the freeway from you in Inglewood is Haddad Motorsports. They are the premiere motorsports shop in SoCal. Do a search on Google and you'll find them.

I have heard of haddad thats where i was going to get my tune from when i put heads and cam on, did not know they did port and polish. thanks for the info guys.

I second west coast. They specialize in lsx heads, and richard is a great guy to deal with. Fast turn around time as well.

Thanks for all the imput guys i will try Haddad and west coast. How much would someone normally pay for the port, polish, valve, mill etc.. Just trying to get idea. Whats up stroke, thanks again for coming out and offering help. Mark got the drivers side in like it was nothing. Everything is running great now, about to do head cam swap. thanks guys

Im not bashing any shops, I have had work done at both shops, they are both A+A+A+, just wondering what was so bad at Strickly Performance? I thought Rob helped them out alot?

What's your budget? You might be better off just buying a set of TSP's CNC-ported LS6 heads and selling your 241s. You could always try porting them yourself, too.

I figured it would cost arround 450 for all that work + i still have to buy my own springs etc.. so im thinking of just going to buy a set of ls6 heads from tsp it comes out to 1200 for everything brand new. Or spend close to 700 for some 241 with all the pp and mill, spring work. Just trying to weigh my options at this point.

another west coast cylinder head vote here. fast turn around just like mentioned above. his been around for over 35yrs. that should mean something.

hmm... your in a dream world if reputable head shop is going to do full porting , replace springs, valves, and all for 700 dollars.

I didnt know havent contacted anyone yet just throwing a number out. I figured it would be withing a few hundred less than the tsp ls6 heads.

theres a place called el inca racing cams in gardena, who does really good work. if ure shopping around u may wanna give them a shot. i've ported&polished myself, as well as used them (el inca racing cams), and i back mike @ haddad motorsports work as well.

you can buy a set of dart's for $1100.oo they come complete with springs and valves.
