Default Modified Exhaust Ticket

got pulled over in Oceanside, California yesterday afternoon. Officer never looked underneath my car. He says to me, "You know your muffler is ridiculous, don't you?" I say, "No sir." He writes me a ticket, no specifics. Just says "modified exhaust." Anyone have any idea how much I'll end up paying or if I can get out of it. I am moving back to Oklahoma next week where noone gives a damn how loud it is.

You might want to do some homework on this....what vehicle code did he write you up for?

I once go a ticket for "Herbicide" (crashed my car...rolled it killed a small tree)...yeah i know...obviously there was no vehicle code matching the one he wrote me up for...

You might get lucky!!!

Oh definetly....there was no damage other than the small sapling...I just missed a fire hydrant and a couple of cars...

I was driving a lowered 914 spun the car out..backed into the curb and flipped the car..uphill!..I then skidded up the side walk on my roof for about 10 feet..spinning on the roof..missing the fire hydrant..and the parked cars..ended up in the plantings of an apartment building that had just planted the tree,,

You will have take you're car to a " state referee " they will make you take a smog test and they will take sometype of mic., you're car should be no louder than certain db's. That's what happen me. If you're car ain't to loud don't worry. Good luck!
