Default Will pay for t-top conversion

I am currently in San Francisco, and would like to convert my hardtop into a t-top. I am willing to drive two or three hours to get this done. I can buy all the parts myself, and just need someone to do the cutting, fitting, etc for me. I am willing to pay $250 for someone who can do this for me.

Please let me know, ESPECIALLY if you have done it before.

i'ts going to cost alot more than 250 to get this done, it's alot of fabrication and welding to do it properly and keep the structural integrity of the unibody sound.

It will probably be more than $250 to get it done, but there is no welding required. All Hard top Fbodies are T top models in desguise. you cut away at the fiberglass top and install the seals & new headliner.

I was going to do this at one point. Here are some links

i'll be dammed..... kinda cool.

Still going to be way more than 250 for quality work. A body shop will charge between 85 and 100 per hour.... i'm guessing about 750-1000 at a body shop.

Wow, no way a body shop will charge that much for a t-top conversion.

its gonna be around $500 if you do it yourself and get good deals in the F/S section.

body shop WITH you supplying parts will be $700 i already checked into this.

body shop with them getting the parts (new t top is $475) will vary between $800 and $1200

Hmmm, I guess I underestimated the cost a little bit. Well, I'm currently in search of the hardware, and am looking for a capable person to do the actual work.

I'll offer $400 to someone who has done it before, and I will provide a lot of help.

PM me and we'll talk... Not only did I do the first conversion (on www.camaroz28.com at least) back in 1999 but I have done plenty since then. Your price is fine, we just need to discuss what is involved so you don't freak out when you see your car cut apart
